What Will Item Upgrades Be Like In 100 Years?

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any  item upgrader  NPC.

Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and also add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for casting builds.

Armour

Armour is one of the key things that keeps Link protected from damage in all situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it is possible to enhance its defence capabilities in different ways.

The principle of armour is to shield the person or animal from harm or injury, either from direct physical attack or from a range of dangers to the environment or activity. In the past, most armour was made of fabrics or leather, however metal protections were also employed, especially for military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade armour but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique degree of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, but require a higher price in rupees and materials to unlock.

The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been applied they can't be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. You should only apply most powerful upgrades to your equipment, and ensure that you have all the components required to complete them.

For those who want to acquire the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule, including shrines, shops as well as enemies. They'll usually be identified with the gold circle or blue triangle, and are available in large quantities as you progress through the game. They can appear randomly, however there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades will trigger a quest which will reward you with even more.

It's important to keep in mind that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may differ, it will always be greater than nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a powerful defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks, except magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for any class.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that create a truly unique weapon. They can boost damage, alter the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build and even unlock new attachments like unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.

You'll need both the upgrade component and the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon should be at or near an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only take one upgrade.

Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world, from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. The upgrade components themselves are made up of ingredients that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.

Upgrades are a combination of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to enhance the power of weapons and enhance their effectiveness in comparison to other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.

Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon and an upgrade.

Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade those that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your chest, shoulders, hands, and feet if you plan to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your playstyle, some items will be more useful than others. Armour is the same, with certain refining better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project has been cancelled, no more upgrades will be offered for the item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but they can offer additional benefits.

A magical item can be any item that has special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but some are also armor, shields as well as cloaks, potions rings, scrolls, and other items. Some of these items can be made to speak.

Most magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. This makes them more useful to a player, or it could help them conquer an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that contains an ingredient that is unique could offer, for instance, additional damage against a specific type of enemy. This is particularly beneficial for characters that have reached a level where they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.

A ring that is infused with magic could give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or cut (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character takes another long rest. This is especially beneficial for melee fighters or anyone who wishes to get rid of the hassle and expense of buying an armor.

Certain items enchanted by magic have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is a great benefit for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the number of Intelligence points spent.

Other objects with enchanted powers could permit the character's appearance to be changed, or they could even create a new appearance. These items can be especially useful for characters who are forced to leave their home, or are located in an area in which they are not accepted. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible for anyone, excluding the person they choose to.

Utility Items

Utility items are anything that doesn't fall under the categories of clothing or armor and come with a range of capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor they are not a single utility item that is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items have an effect that a player can activate by using them, but some also have additional capabilities that are triggered when the user presses a button or activates the ability.

The Flashlight is the most commonly used accessory. It is used to illuminate the area around it. Other useful items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to hover in mid-air when moving, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of utility items, while others are only available through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items available in the standard inventory, players can unlock some more powerful utility items by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.

The majority of utilitarian items give players an advantage in navigation or enhance the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. Sharpening stones, created by an Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity. Maintenance Oils, created by the Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be used by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utility item at the beginning of the campaign, and an additional slot becomes available through the use of certain types armor or completing engineering research or other projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping an grenade Launcher. This allows the player to utilize a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
